photo: LarissaLarissa (left) is one of our Veterinary Technicians and has been with the clinic since we first opened the doors in 2007. She graduated from Hancock with an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. She is the owner of an Australian Shepherd named Sadie as well as two dogs named Princess; one a Pit bull and one a German Shepherd. She also has a cat named Willie. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

photo: BronteBronte (right) spent most of her childhood in Santa Maria. She moved to Colorado after high school gaining experience at multiple kennels and animal clinics. She moved back home in 2014 to join us at Caring Hands. She is learning new things every day as she is saving for college before enrolling into a local school to begin earning a degree in animal science. On days off, she can be found venturing trails along the beaches with her lab mix, Kono. In addition, Bronte is quite the talented artist and does fantastic drawings and sketches.

She owns two cats, Jezebelle and Chowder, as well as a gecko. In her free time she enjoys drawing and video games.

Shelby is our German Shepherd lover! She owns 2 german shepherds, Rex and Bullet, that she adopted from the humane society. She enjoys taking her pink jeep off roading with friends on her days off.

photo: LoriTechnician Lori (left) comes to us with a varied background. After working 10 years at a human hospital, Lori decided to change her focus to the health of our furry companions. While working at a veterinary clinic in Arroyo Grande, she was certified as a veterinary assistant through a distance-learning program. Lori then spent 3 years working for the Department of Defense caring for the health of military working dogs while earning her certificate for to be a Registered Veterinary Technician at Hancock College. In her free time, you will find Lori hiking or chilling out at the beach with her Queensland mix named Whiskey.

photo: RachelRachel (right) is our primary receptionist and also an assistant. She started at Caring Hands in the spring of 2015 after moving to Nipomo from a farm in England (U.K.). Rachel and her husband have lived in Korea and Chile, along with their dog Mila. Rachel attended the University of York, England and received her BSc in Health Science. They are looking forward to adding more cats and dogs to the family soon!

photo: ErinErin (left) was born and raised in San Jose, California. After high school she moved to San Diego, where she lived for 10 years. Erin obtained a BS in Kinesiology from San Diego State and an AS in Veterinary Technology at Pima Medical Institute. In August she passed the VTNE and is one step closer to becoming a full Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Recently, she moved to the central coast to be closer to family. Erin loves her new home and enjoys spending time outdoors with her Border Collie mix, Jaxson.
